Sew what’s new or So, what’s new?

This.

You can get it here.

It will be in stores at the end of the month. It’s in my online store now.

If it looks familiar, this is why:

It’s based on my book, The Ultimate Applique Guidebook and has been updated and refined. It’s a lovely little 5 1/4″ x 9″ how-to, step by step with three types of appliqué to choose from:

  • machine applique
  • the best hand applique method I have ever seen or used (mucho thanks to my friend, Holly Mabutas for sharing this)
  • and a great needle turn method by Alex Anderson for righties and lefties.

It has all of the good meaty parts of the first book, but scaled back to the essentials of applique techniques. Just the perfect size to lay flat on your worktable without taking up too much room.

The reference tool has some nifty how-to YouTube videos that correspond with it. Click below to view them:

Since the book has just been released, I did a blogpost for C&T over on their website. If you hop over there, read the blogpost and leave a comment, you may be able to win a copy of the reference tool!

The drawing will happen over there, not here, so you can comment here if you wish, but the drawing is over there.

Now, back to my studio to work on preparing everything for Quilt Market and Quilt Festival. Are you going?

I’ll post a schedule of events for both shows tomorrow.
