Baltimore Album block – Carnation

The Carnation block is one of the original West of Baltimore prototypes that I designed for the quilt. It just didn’t fit in the Block of Month, so I’ve created it as a stand-alone block – and teach it as a workshop.

The Carnation is beautiful as a block all on it’s own, or you can substitute it for one of the blocks in West of Baltimore.

The basic techniques for construction are the same as for West of Baltimore.
